We have Opal's highly anticipated Harry Potter sock yarn on our shelves.  All eight colorways are in stock.  Come by and pick up a pair for your favorite HP fan.  If you miss this chance, never fear, we will receive a second shipment later this month.

Have you heard about Lorna's Laces Color Commentary series?  If not, some very popular bloggers are creating new colorways named in their honor.   The first in the series was Franklin's Panopticon (we still have a small amount left), and most recently we received Amy's Vintage Office by Amy Singer of knitty.com.  You can read all about her inspiration on Lorna's blog!  We all get excited when a box arrives from Lorna's, but especially so when we open it and find a limited edition, one of a kind color!

We are planning a trunk sale (or swap).  On Sunday, November 2nd from 1-5pm, you can load up your trunk with yarn and knitting accessories that you would like to sale or swap and set up your own retail shop on our sidewalk.  We will be open for business, but other sellers will get prime sidewalk space.  There will be all kinds of room, as we are the only store open on our end of the strip.  We are working on the details, but wanted to let you know so that you can start going through your stash, needle collection, and knitting and crocheting books.  For many of us, that will take at least a month.  Get busy!

We received an enormous shipment of Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton, Sport Weight, and Alpaca Silk.   I am currently working on their Market Vest in organic cotton and love it.  Although most of us love wearing cotton, most of us would also agree it is not the easiest to knit with.  Try Blue Sky and you may change your mind.  Also, the colors...

You are reading THE first post to our new blog.  I wanted an easy way to communicate current information to everyone and this seemed to fit.  In addition to the blog, a current class schedule is available as well as a listing of what we stock and links.  Like the store, this site is a work in progress, as we will be adding information and rearranging over time.
